The Circus Arts Conservatory Partners With
The 2017 Smithsonian Folklife Festival on The Mall in Washington, D.C.
Circus Arts Conservatory (CAC) is a presenting partner with the Smithsonian Institution for the 2017 Smithsonian Folklife Festival which will be held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. from June 29 – July 4 and July 6 – 9, 2017, and will celebrate “Circus Arts” as a major part of the Festival’s 50th Anniversary program. This opportunity is particularly timely and important for increasing national recognition and respect for the circus arts in America because the Festival has become one of the largest and most popular cultural events hosted in the ceremonial heart of our Nation’s Capital. The event typically attracts more than one million visitors on site and forty million online during the Festival period annually. Thousands more will also be exposed to this popular annual event at the Smithsonian during the months before opening and extending long after the program closes.
