In celebration of the 11th W Circus Day on Saturday, April 17, The Circus Arts Conservatory ’s Sailor Circus Academy students will present two shows at The Ringling, the historic estate of John Ringling. The CAC is honored to be partnering with The Ringling for this internationally recognized day at what has become an iconic circus landmark in Sarasota. 

Sailor Circus Academy is the nation’s longest running youth circus and is known internationally as “The Greatest ‘Little’ Show on Earth.” Originating in 1949 as part of a Sarasota High School gymnastics class, Sailor Circus has grown into a spectacular circus school that is one of the top in the USA serving students ages 8-20. Sailor Circus students learn circus arts  through extremely rigorous interdisciplinary performing arts programs, develop life management skills, gain self-discipline, bolster confidence and a commitment to achievement, all in a safe and nurturing circus atmosphere. Sailor Circus students are recognized as future leaders and major contributors to the circus legacy in Sarasota.

Attendees at The World Circus Day performance can expect to see aerial and ground acts including the aerial lyra, aerial silks, contortion, juggling and more!
