Prior to joining The CAC, Zoltan Karpathy was a nonprofit management and fundraising consultant.  His career included founding and holding the chief executive officer title of operating foundations at the local hospice and Goodwill Industries organizations, as well as at a medical center in New York State.  His professional skills include all aspects of fundraising, with special emphasis on major gifts, charitable estate gifts and capital campaigns.

A graduate of Kenyon College, Mr. Karpathy holds the highest fundraising credential available in his profession, the Advanced Certified Fund Raising Executive (ACFRE) credential, currently held by fewer than 75 individuals internationally. He has worked as a national fundraising consultant with more than two dozen charities, managing the raising of millions of dollars. Additionally, he has federal and state advocacy experience in healthcare, human services and enabling legislation issues.

In volunteer roles, he has served as president of both the Rotary Club of Sarasota Bay and its foundation. He also served as a local board member, president and national treasurer for the Association of Fundraising Professional sand board member and president of the Pine View School Band.  He has conducted numerous board trainings and senior management level leadership seminars.

A Siesta Key resident since 1981, he is the father of two boys and is a Coast Guard licensed Master Captain, private instrument pilot and scuba diving instructor.
