The Circus Arts Conservatory is going back to the Smithsonian Institution's Folklife Festival!
Twenty-six kids. One very big stage. We need your help to get them there.
Twenty-six Sailor Circus students, ages 8 to 18, have earned something extraordinary — an invitation to perform under the dome of the Rotunda in the Smithsonian's Arts and Industry Building, in front of an audience drawn from all fifty states and around the world. Some of them have never been on a plane. All of them are about to perform for the country.
But getting there takes resources. Two trucks of equipment, rigging, costumes, travel, lodging, and a thousand miles of road. Your donation puts these kids on that national stage — and makes you a part of a moment Sarasota will not forget.
Three shows a day. Every day.
Our professional company takes the Rotunda three times daily with 30-minute productions built for this moment. Artists from around the globe, alongside Circus Sarasota favorites you already know, including the incomparable Chris Allison. Your support keeps this world-class programming on the national stage.
Physics, circus style.
Our education team is bringing the Marvelous Miraculous Circus Machine to the Mall. Guests won't just hear about the science of the circus — they'll watch it happen and try it themselves. Your gift helps bring this one-of-a-kind experience to thousands of visitors.
The vault opens.
Historic costumes from our collection travel north to trace the visual history of the American circus. Our designers will build an entirely new commemorative costume on site over three days, in front of the public. Donors make this living history possible.
The work behind the wonder.
Riggers, coaches, designers, historians, and legacy families will share the story of Sarasota's circus heritage on the national stage. Behind every three minutes in the air stands a community that has kept this art alive for a hundred years. Help us tell that story in Washington.

Getting our students, professional artists, equipment, and staff to Washington, D.C. requires significant resources — and the opportunity arrived faster than our budget anticipated.
