Let Sailor Circus Take Your Breath Away with “High Flying Holidays”

This holiday season, celebrate circus style! Sailor Circus presents The High Flying Holidays, a show for the whole family, Wednesday, December 27 through Saturday, December 30 for only eight shows!

This all new performance will have audiences on the edge of their seats as over 100 students ages 8-18 flip, fly and soar through the air performing a wide variety of acts. Families will be awestruck watching acts including aerial silks, unicycle, juggling, high wire, flying trapeze and much more, all in the iconic Sailor Circus Arena.

Circus Arts Conservatory Founder Dolly Jacobs adds to her legacy as she coaches students in her world-renowned Roman Rings act. Audiences were thrilled watching the performers swing and somersault through the air when the act was performed in Washington DC at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival this past summer. The Flying Gabbianos will literally have onlookers gasping in their seats as they also take to the air. The flying trapeze is their preferred way of keeping audiences spellbound as they catch each other doing spins and turns. Spectators will be astounded as performers propel each other through the air using only their strength and a teeterboard. Coached by Circus Arts Conservatory Founder Pedro Reis, these kids have been dedicated in their training and can’t wait to perform in front of the thousands that will be attending these shows!

Sailor Circus, known as “The Greatest ‘Little’ Show” on Earth, is the longest-running youth circus in the country. The Sailor Circus Academy, not only teaches students over 30 disciplines of circus arts, it also uses the circus arts to teach life skills turning ordinary students into confident leaders.
The High Flying Holidays runs Wednesday, December 27 – Saturday, December 30 at the Sailor Circus Arena, 2075 Bahia Vista Street, Sarasota. Shows are at 2PM and 7PM daily. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. For tickets visit www.CircusArts.org or call the box office 941.355.9805.
