Guests entered The Circus Arts Conservatory’s new, custom-crafted Big Top on a red carpet. Decorated in red, purple, and gold, the space featured displays of lavish costumes, fantastic lighting, and fascinating performances at every turn.
The night’s entertainment featured noble co-hosts Mayven Missbehavin’ and The CAC’s own Jared Walker, who introduced professional circus artists Antino Pansa on the slack rope, Darren Trull on the straps, and hand balancing trio, The Sweet Escape Girls.
Students from Sarasota’s Cuban Ballet School beautifully highlighted the slack rope act, and the show ended in a stunning performance by Sailor Circus students created by coaches Olga Coronas and Ryan Weston, who also performed. Artist Natalia Deevs captured the finale in a painting that she finished live in the ring, which one lucky guest purchased in the auction. After the princely performance, guests enjoyed a royal feast provided by Michael’s On East, then danced the night away in center ring.
