CAC Presenting The 2017 Smithsonian Folklife Festival in DC. A Partnership To Produce At America’s Largest Tourist Event

The 50th Smithsonian Folklife Festival focused on the amazing international world of Circus Arts and saw the Circus Arts Conservatory presenting over $1million of performance programming from Circus Sarasota, Sailor Circus and Cirque De Voix, and also playing host to circuses and performers from all over the US in the Big Top on the National Mall and at daily demonstrations in the Smithsonian Arts and Industries Building.

The 2017 Folklife Festival program provided opportunities for hundreds of thousands of visitors and global media to experience and explore the life and work of circus people in America today. The festival signifies not only the positioning and respect that the Circus Arts Conservatory’s company, legacy and cast garner in the US and international Circus Arts community, but also the significance of Circus Arts in today’s culture and its resurgence and continued evolution as a leader in the performance, arts and entertainment medium.
