Bradenton Cigar Box Guitar Festival (Early-February) – Fifth annual celebration of cigar box guitars and unique music, born in the Village of the Arts with live performances and appreciation for these distinctive handmade instruments.

Downtown Sarasota Festival of the Arts (Early-February) – 37th annual juried art show ranked among the Top 100 Fine Arts Shows in the country. Features life-size sculptures, paintings, photography, and one-of-a-kind jewelry from the nation’s best artists. Free admission, 10am-5pm on Main Street.

Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival (Mid-February) – 43rd annual celebration of the historic fishing village’s commercial fishing heritage with marine life exhibits, seafood, kids’ events, and live music. 10am-6pm both days.

Sarasota International Chalk Festival (Mid-November) – World’s largest gathering of international pavement artists from 30+ countries creating oversized chalk masterpieces and floral carpets at Burns Square. Features 3D art, interactive zones, live music, and puppet parade.
