Jennifer Mitchell joined The Circus Arts Conservatory in 2008 when it was known as Circus Sarasota. She came on board as Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator, helping to build a qualified Marketing department for this vital nonprofit organization. Jennifer was promoted to Managing Director in 2013, after five years of incredible dedication, poise and passion to the preservation of the Circus Arts. Today, she serves as the CEO & President.
She holds multiple academic degrees, including her B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Oxford, England, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Her experience in marketing, communications and management has stretched to the corners of the USA.
As a teenager, she co-created an anti-drug youth campaign for Connecticut U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro, which resulted in impactful state legislative change in the 1990s. For over a decade, she was Executive Director of the Miss America Teen Scholarship Pageant Program and has organized cultural, professional, and employment events nationwide. Jennifer has also worked with a myriad of national non-profits in a variety of capacities including strategic planning, fundraising and capacity building for Red Cross, Ringling College of Art & Design, G-Wiz, Miss America and others. Apart from her stellar business instincts, as a first generation American, Jennifer applies her compassion and caring nature to her 4 children. She, and her husband, a local Assistant Principal, are committed to bettering the lives of those in our community through education, youth development and outreach programming.
